Play Cloths Progressive Streetwear
Virginia duo Clipse has entered the fashion industry with the recent launch of their own clothing brand, Play Cloths, after years of promoting apparel from other popular designers.
Pusha T and Malice, born Terrence and Gene Thornton, have teamed up with designer Doug Life to develop a signature line of denim jeans, jackets, hoodies, and other street-themed wear.
“It’s based around the idea of when clothes were collectables,” Pusha said of the brand, which fuses urban and rock-influenced styles. “It represents youth and influence.”
Clipse, who have become the unofficial poster-boys for the Japanese-based clothing brand A Bathing Ape (BAPE), will be joining fellow Virginia producer Pharrell Williams in the fashion world.
Williams recently launched his own lines Ice Cream and Billionaire Boys Club (BBC) with flagship stores in Japan and Hong Kong.
Play Cloths will be featured at the annual MAGIC Trade Show Expo in February, hosted in Las Vegas.
Pusha T and Malice are also working on their third studio album, expected to drop in the summer
NCAA Final Four 2011
The 2011 National Championship game will feature a mid major team. Whether that be the Virginia Commonwealth Rams or the Butler Bulldogs remains to be seen. Both teams have made surprising runs to the Final Four, earning their way into the history books.
The NCAA Tournament has given us great games so far, but that only means the Final Four will be even greater. The madness has given us a No. 11 seed vs a No. 8 seed in the Final Four. I can only imagine what kind of finish it will be.
Kentucky makes the Final Four for the first time in quite a while. This is Kentucky's 14th Final Four appearance in school history, but their first time since 1998. The Wildcats went on to win the National Championship that year. The Huskies last made the Final Four in 2009, but lost to Michigan State.
It's sure to be an interesting weekend in Houston. Will Butler get back to the championship game, or will VCU spoil their dreams? Can Kentucky find a way to stop Kemba Walker? We will all find out soon, but first we have to get through the work week.
