LifeStyle- Mickey Mouse Fashion
It’s not surprising that a brand as iconic as Disney has managed to cross its way from children- and family-centric innovations to high fashion editorials. But crossed it has—at least in influence—and the Vogue Germany Chanel Iman editorial is one mousey example.
The Vogue Germany Chanel Iman shoot for December 2009 is a whimsical display of bow headbands, mouse ears, iconographic tees, and polka dot skirts. In other words, everything you need to channel Minnie Mouse. Really cute.
It’s usually tough for me to pick out distinguishing themes within a fashion collection , but Jeremy Scott’s Fall 2009 RTW line screams out one name alone: Mickey Mouse. Models strutted the runway in familiar red suspender shorts, polka dots and plenty of bright, eye-catching colors paired with black. Jeremy Scott’s models also featured angled bangs and shaved hairlines in the shape of an ‘M.’ Another nod to Mickey and Minnie, perhaps?

SNEAKERS
We have featured the amazing sneaker illustration work by the French visual artist Phoks before, but he recently completed another striking and exciting series for global sneaker brand Nike.
The Phoks NighKee series features the famed shoes with various iconic connotations like the Micky Mouse, aka NighKee Mouse, one as well as the brown NighKee Sneakolate and the NighKee Spider.
The Mickey Mouse Adidas shoes (also designed by Jeremy Scott) features the face of the most famous mouse in the world on top of the shoe’s exaggerated tongue. The colorway is a bright combination of black, white, yellow and red, just like Mickey is. So, if you can’t fit into that old Mickey Tee from that visit to Disneyland when you were six, no worries, just slide into a pair of these Mickey Mouse Adidas kicks to revisit your mouseketeer days.
